Course Content

 

1) Common Gemstone Materials (5 hours)

(2) Basic Jewellery Making Materials (5 hours)

(3) Fundamental Design Principles and Design Processes (5 hours)

(4) Basic Drawing and Design Techniques (20 hours)

(5) Mid-term Assessment (1.5 hours)

(6) Final Assessment (2.5 hours)

 

Admission Requirements

  • Completion of New Senior Secondary (NSS) Form 6, Old Academic Structure Form 5, or an equivalent academic qualification; or
  • Completion of Form 3 or an equivalent academic qualification with at least two years of work experience; or
  • Aged 21 or above with at least two years of work experience in jewellery or design-related fields.

35 face-to-face hours + 4 assessment hours;

Certificate Issuance:

Certificates will be awarded to students who meet the following graduation requirements:

(i) A minimum attendance rate of 80% or higher throughout the course; and
(ii) Passing grades (70% or higher) in both the midterm and final assessments.

 

Course Assessment:

 

(A) Subject Unit Assessment and Content:

(1) Continuous assessment assignments (30%);

(2) Midterm written examination (30%);

(3) Final examination (40%).

 

(B) Course Completion Requirements and Refund Eligibility:

(1) Students must achieve a minimum attendance rate of 80% or higher of the total face-to-face class hours; and

(2) Passing grades (70% or higher) are required in all course assessments.

Tuition Fee:

HK$13,800 (Tuition fees are payable in installments, monthly).
