Admission Requirements:

• Completion of New Senior Secondary (NSS) Form 6 or the old academic system Form 5 or an equivalent academic qualification ; and
• At least 1 year of work experience in the jewellery industry; or
• Completion of a course on general knowledge of gemstones; or
• Passing an entrance exam on general gemstone knowledge.

Class Duration：

30 hours of face-to-face instruction;

4 hours of assessment time;

49.5 hours of self-study, totaling 83.5 hours.

*Each student in the 'Certificate in Gem ldentification Essentials (QF Level 3)' course will be provided with 15 hours of free additional internship time during the study period."

Certificate Award:
Students must meet the following graduation requirements to receive a graduation certificate:

Course Assessment:
Practical Exercises (40%):

   - Complete testing procedures for *50 practice stones* during self-study hours (by appointment). 

   - One resubmission opportunity allowed. 

2. *Final Written Examination (30%)* 

   - Multiple-choice questions (10%) 

   - Short-answer questions (20%) 

   - One retake opportunity allowed. 

3. *Final Practical Examination (30%)* 

   - Perform grading and testing on *10 exam stones*. 

Students have one chance for a retake in the final exam.
