Appreciation Module

Hands-on training with professional gem testing instruments and advanced microscopes
Appreciation of natural rubies, sapphires, and other gemstones from Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Madagascar, Brazil, and more
Study of over 500 gemstone specimens across more than 60 varieties, including both heated and unheated stones

 

Buyer’s Practical Module

Visit Ratnapura, the gem city of Sri Lanka
Explore the southern gem wholesale market in Beruwala
Experience the actual gemstone purchasing process and learn professional buyer skills
Meet local mine owners and understand different mining methods
Observe the gemstone mining process
Participate in gem panning, cutting, and traditional heat treatment techniques
Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon course completion
